Tracking COVID-19 Nationally, Regionally, & Locally

FOLLOWING THE DATA…

There are a few good websites to keep tabs on the COVID-19 pandemic, nationally, regionally and locally.

Nationally, click here for a national snapshot of new cases per day, and click here for new cases per capita. Useful COVID-19 data, statistics, and public health recommendations can be found on the CDC’s website.

Pennsylvania’s latest new cases per day graph can be found here, while new cases per capita are available here. To learn more about the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s efforts to control COVID-19, check out their website.

Montgomery County has an excellent GIS system accessible via its website that tracks municipal level data- particularly positives over the past 30 days. That information can be found here.

On a more local, granular level, the US Department of Health and Human Services began posting hospital specific datasets to its website in early December, 2020. While these datasets were recently featured in the New York Times, there is more information in them then what is being reported. I’ve combed through these, and tried to break down Abington specific numbers in the graphs below. I will try to refresh the graphs as the datasets are updated weekly.

To see numbers specific to Abington - Jefferson Hospital, click here.

To see numbers specific to Holy Redeemer Hospital, click here.
